“With Heavy Hearts” series statement -
This series invites you to sit with heavy emotion. We are navigating through a collective experience of grief, increasingly prominent in the present moment. Sadness is everywhere - stemming from personal struggles we face, the cruelty we inflict on each other through world conflict, worry about our changing climate, and insurmountable challenges in housing and mental health. These issues keep us up at night, and permeate our days with weight. All these conflicting emotions coexist in a blurred harmony within us. This series is about embracing the full spectrum of emotions available to us and noticing the nuances in between. It is about living with complexity, not complacency. It is about continuing to live our lives to the fullest, nurturing our dreams, and maintaining our hope for the future, with heavy hearts.
